Would you like to create an interior in a light style that will remind you of a luxurious vacation by the sea? Then this article is for you! I will show you how to design an interior in the Hamptons style!

#1 Classic furniture

The first thing that catches the eye when we look at the Hamptons style interior is definitely classic, massive furniture. To achieve such a result, we should choose good quality furniture made of thick and solid materials.

#2 Fair colors

Designing a house in the style of a seaside villa is much easier if we choose bright colors of the walls and fabrics. A simple and safe solution is to look for colors from the beige and gray palette.

Protip #1 – remember to ALWAYS match the colors. Don’t be shy and bring home paint and fabric samplers for a consistent interior. This way you will avoid accidental selection at a low cost!

Protip #2 –  light colors are more prone to staining, so choose good quality fabrics with an easy cleaning function (thanks to this, my light beige couch survived the attack of wine and ketchup).

#3 Gold and silver pendant lamps

It’s no secret that the devil is in the details, so be sure to pay attention to seemingly insignificant elements that can completely change the space. One of the essential elements of the hamptons style are shimmering pendant lamps. In addition to the lighting function, they are a fantastic interior decoration and an element separating the zones. Place them above the kitchen island, above the table or in the hallway for a luxurious interior effect!

#4 Natural materials

The Hamptons style is a luxury style and the natural materials suit it very well. A beautiful wooden floor (also in a dark version), tables, chairs, coffee tables or visible wooden beams will give the interior the character of a truly pampered villa.

#5 Colors

When it comes to the Hamptons style, a word about colors must not be missing. In addition to the neutral base of the interior, textiles in shades of blue will work great, as they will remind us of the roots of this style, so popular in seaside luxury homes. The second color that I like to add when designing hamptons style interiors is black. Accessories in this color perfectly break the delicate character of the interior and give it an edge.
